Welcome to Metro Cinema Harrow

We are a family run independent boutique cinema and we opened in Harrow in November 2025

With the aim to create a comfortable and welcoming environment that enables everyone to enjoy the magic of cinema. We love films and have been lucky to work in the world of television and film for over thirty five years and just want to share that love of the silver screen with as many people as possible!

Our cinema features three boutique screens, each equipped with top-quality digital projection and sound. We carefully curate our programme — from the latest blockbusters and indie gems to family favourites, cult classics and occasional live events. Our focus at present is on the genres we love the most be it Bollywood or films in Gujarati, Urdu, Malayalam or Telugu and beyond!

Cinema is available to hire for conferences, presentations, celebration parties, or special screenings.

At Metro Cinema, we focus on community, friendly service, and a love for film. Whether you’re joining us for a big premiere, a quiet weekday matinee, or a special event with friends, every visit is made to feel memorable.

We look forward to welcoming you soon and to share our love of film with you!

How the cinema works

  • Outside food and drink are not allowed inside the cinema at all.

  • Bottled water under 1 litre is allowed, as are food items needed for health reasons when supported by documentation.
  • Abusive or disrespectful behaviour and language towards staff, other patrons or the cinema are not allowed and will lead to removal.

  • Unnecessary littering inside the cinema is not allowed and can result in being asked to leave.

  • Recording of films in any form (video or audio) is strictly not allowed and will result in removal from the cinema.

  • Using phones in a way that spoils others’ enjoyment during the movie (e.g. bright screens, talking on the phone) is not allowed.

  • Please be respectful to staff, fellow patrons and the cinema; failure to do so can result in being required to leave the premises immediately.
  • When booking, pay close attention to age restrictions; for example, an 18 certificate means the viewer must be 18 or over.
  • Staff may ask for ID; if valid identification is not provided, or the patron is underage, entry to the screen will be denied with no exceptions.
  • The cinema is child friendly, but patrons should consider other viewers when bringing babies and young children.
  • If a child persistently cries or runs around and spoils the screening, you will be asked to take the child out of the screen.
  • Any child who needs or takes a seat must have a paid ticket, to help keep prices low for everyone.
  • Entry into the screens is via a valid ticket, purchased either at the cinema or on the website.
  • Online bookings include a 50p per ticket booking fee for banking reasons.
  • On arrival with an online ticket, have your email confirmation open and ready to speed up entry.
  • All online bookings receive an email; if you cannot find it, check your spam folder.
  • If you were unable to book online, check your bank card, as it may not be recognised by the booking operator.
  • Ticket refunds are not possible on the day of the booked show.
  • Refunds may be arranged in person at the cinema up to the day before the showing, but not by phone or email.
  • Ticket prices are kept extremely low, so there are no discounts, special offers or extra benefits like those in large chain cinemas.
  • There is no on-site parking at the cinema.
  • After 6:30 pm, local parking restrictions are lifted; before 6:30 pm, nearby side roads and town-centre car parks are available.
  • Wifi is available; ask a member of staff for the password.
  • A phone line and email address are available, but responses may not be immediate.
  • If the answer to your question is already covered in the information provided, you are asked not to contact the cinema by phone or email, to avoid unnecessary queries about parking and phone bookings.
  • Bookings can only be made online or in person at the cinema, not over the phone.
